We’re in S1, episode 8 this week. Danny’s friend and former partner Meka has been murdered and he’s understandably a little agitated. McG and his as-yet-underdeveloped people skillz are not helping. Plus, he’s always cool, calm and collected, whether he’s having a stand-off over a Blue Hawaii or throwing someone in a shark tank. McG doesn’t see what Danny’s getting so worked up about because McG Does Not Do lack of self-control.
However, that didn’t last. Since then he’s become much better on the social interaction front, but he’s also gone ninja-postal on Gov #1, punched Fryer, had a mini-meltdown after Wo Fat murdered Jenna Kaye in front of him, punched Delano #wtfka, gotten burned over Cheryl Tiegs and blown up for Raquel Welch. Oh no, that was Lee Majors, wasn’t it? Scratch those last two.
So here we are with McG’s new and improved people skillz and intermittent red-mist tendencies, in 3.15. John McGarrett’s friend and former partner Keoki has been murdered and McG’s understandably a little agitated. Danny wants to be cool, calm and collected and wait for S.W.A.T. to arrive, which is pretty sensible given that the dumb drug dealer has a big scary rifle and an apparently inexhaustible supply of ammo and – inexplicably – no-one present is wearing Kevlar. McG’s not having that though. This is personal, so why pass when you can do something reckless instead, eh?
So would HPD, one suspects.
